The population of the Gaza Strip reportedly exceeded two million, on Tuesday night, following the birth of Walid Jihad Shaat, from the Rafah district, southern Gaza.

Official sources stated, according to Al Ray, that the Gaza Strip broke the barrier of 2 million yesterday evening, when the newborn baby was recorded as the second million, while number two million and one was noted as Lana Mohammed Rafiq Ayyad, from Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, eastern Gaza.

Earlier this year, the Civil Affairs department expected that the population of Gaza residents would reach up to 2 million, during the month of October, this year
