Peter Greste is Professor of Journalism and Communications, Macquarie University is an academic, author and journalist. He spent 30 years as a journalist, 25 of them as a foreign correspondent working for the BBC, Al Jazeera and Reuters among others. After a 400-day spell in Egypt on terrorism charges, he has made it his mission to advocate for media freedom everywhere.
