Yoram Meital
Yoram Meital is a professor of Middle East studies at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Israel. His research focuses on the political, social, cultural, and economic developments in Middle Eastern societies. Meital received his PhD from Haifa University. He spent 2024-25 as a member of the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton University. He has held teaching and research positions at Harvard Law School, Skidmore College, Northeastern University, and Oxford University. He is author of Sacred Places Tell Tales: Jewish Life and Heritage in Modern Cairo (University of Pennsylvania Press, 2024); and Revolutionary Justice: Special Courts and the Formation of Republican Egypt (Oxford University Press, 2016), among other works.
