ABU ‘UBAIDAH IBN AL-JARRAH ابو عبيدة
One of the Companions, who was with the Prophet in all his wars, and distinguished himself at the battle of Uhud. He was highly esteemed by Muhammad, who made him one of the ‘Asharah al-Mubashsharah, or ten patriarchs of the Muslim faith. He died A.H.18, aged 58.
