The posture of sitting with the legs and thighs contracted towards the belly the back bent forwards, and supported in that position by the arms crossed over the knees. Muslims are forbidden to sit is this posture during the recital of the Khutbah on Fridays (Mishkat book iv. P 45. Pt 2) as it inclines to drowsiness.
