HA’ITIYAH حاطية
A sect of Muslims founded to Ahmad ibn Ha’it who said that there were two Gods, one whose existence is from eternity (qadim), i.e. Allah, and the other who is created in time (muhad-das), i.e. al-Masih (Christ), and that it is he who will judge the world in the last day. And he maintained that this is the meaning of the words which occur in the traditions: “God created man in his own image.” (Kitabu ‘l-Ta’rifat, in loco)
