SAJDATU ‘SH-SHUKR. صجدة الشكر
“A prostration of thanksgiving.” When a Muslim has received some benefit or blessing, he is enjoined to make a prostration in the direction of Makkah, and say, “Holiness to God! and Praise be to God, There is no deity but God! God is most Great!” (Raddu ‘l-Muhtar, vol i. p. 816.)
